The TUV500 is expected to be priced around INR 8 lakh, and the TUV500 would be targeted towards urban buyers.
BODY
It will be based on body-on-ladder frame that also underpins the TUV300. Talking about styling, the TUV is expected to look like a bigger version of the sub-4 metre TUV300. It will get aggressive, Jeep-like front grille with chrome highlights, LED headlamps, fog lamps, strong beltline, flared wheel arches, boxy design and a spare-wheel which be mounted on tailgate.
ENGINE
The exact engine details of this SUV are yet to be announced by the company, but we can expect it to feature a more powerful version of the 1.5-litre mHawk80 diesel engine. The company might also introduce a re-tuned version of the 2.5-litre common rail diesel engine that currently powers Scorpio.
EXPECTED LAUNCH
TUV 500 is expected to be launched at mid of 2016.
