EXTERIOR
It will get the Thor’s hammer headlamps with the signature daytime running lamps and flanking the vertically slatted grille. The side profile is the same except for new alloy wheels. The beautiful tail section has not been touched.

INTERIOR
The vertical tablet-like screen takes centre stage on the dashboard. The top-spec R-Design gets special contrast stitched leather upholstery, electrically operated sunroof, power seats and a three-zone climate control.

SAFETY FEATURES
The multiple airbags, structural crumple zones, integrated pedestrian safety along with the latest generation of ESP(Electronic Stability Program), ABS(Anti Break System) and EBD(Electronic brakeforce distribution) with traction control work in tandem to keep the occupants as safe as possible.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
It will give  the option of the 1984cc five-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that develops 150bhp of power at 3500rpm and 350Nm of torque from as low as 1500rpm. The petrol engine is also a turbocharged four-cylinder mill that develops 180bhp of power at 5700rpm and 240Nm of torque from 1600rpm. Both the engines are mated to a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that powers the front wheels.

PRICE
It will be available in the price range of 25-30 lakh.

LAUNCH DATE
It is expected to be launched in september 2016.

Volvo unveiled its second generation XC90 in Augt last year. It's their first vehicle to follow the new design language and is preview of what future Volvo’s[FV1] is going to look like.

EXTERIOR
Front gets a prominent chrome grille which holds the company’s logo, flanked by the ‘Thor’s hammer’ headlamps [FV2] on both sides.Car’s strong shoulder line moulds into the car’s long sculpted bonnet giving the car an aggressive stance.

INTERIOR

The interior gets a clean, clutter-free design the centre console being dominated by a large touch-screen armed with latest infotainment software. For the comfort of the passengers, Volvo has added a new four-zone climate system with clean zone air purification system which offers individual settings for the first and the second row.

ENGINE & GEARBOX
The Volvo XC90 will be offered in two diesel engines in two variants D5 Momentum and D5 Inscription. Both variants are powered by four-cylinder 2.0-litre mill that produces 22bhp and 470Nm of torque. The only gearbox option is an eight-speed AT and an AWD system.

PRICE

The Volvo XC90 will be priced in the range of Rs 56 lakh to 72 lakh.
