Volkswagen has unveiled the next generation Passat at the Auto Expo 2016.

DESIGN
It has a Volkswagen family face with a wide horizontally slatted front grille which fuses into the swept back headlamps.The Daytime running lamps have been integrated into the intelligent LED headlamps.It has a new tail lamps look. 

INTERIOR
The analog chronograph sits at centre of the dashboard which hides the AC vents between the horizontal slats. Instrument cluster is a TFT screen with digital analog dials reading out the speed and the engine revs along with other information. Two electronic trip meters, average speed, average fuel economy, instantaneous fuel economy, gear indicator with shift assist will be standard.

FEATURES
It has a dual-zone climate control, cruise control, touch-screen infotainment system, power adjustable front seats.It has Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity options. It may retain the automatic parking feature from the outgoing model but will have parking sensors standard across the range.Passat will offer a safety net of airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
It is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an 113bhp electric motor. The 1.4-litre TSi mill. The power output is rated at 214bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. The front wheels are powered through the seven-speed DSG unit.

PRICE
It will be available at a price between 20-25 lakh.

LAUNCH DATE
It is expected to be launched in september 2016.launch date may very.

EXTERIOR
The headlamps remain the same (with a possibility of DRLs being integrated) while the grille and the front bumper are newer.The bumper is sharper and also gets a wide mesh grille with integrated fog lamps. While the side profile remains same. The tail is the same except for the twin pod tail pipe that stands out.

INTERIOR
It gets height adjustable driver seat, electrically adjustable and folding mirrors and cruise control. The 2-DIN music system has USB, AUX and Bluetooth compatibility. The interiors are black with a flat bottom sporty steering wheel with steering mounted audio controls.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
It is powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine churning out at least 180bhp of power.It gets the expected DSG automatic gearbox, enthusiasts will certainly be grinning as a manual transmission option will also be offered.

PRICE
The Polo GTi is expected to be priced over Rs 20 lakh.

Volkswagen Ameo
The Ameo is the new compact sedan from Volkswagen. 

EXTERIOR
The front of the car will be very similar to the Polo, but it got some additional elements to make it look premium. Chances are the compact sedan will have daytime running lamps along with chrome inserts, as part of the headlamp console.

INTERIOR
The top of the dashboard will be black.The car might have a rear AC vents from the Vento, but that apart, the cabin will be similar to the Polo.The airbags will be standard on all variants, while the middle and top spec trims will get ABS-EBD.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Company offers both diesel and petrol variant.The petrol engine will get a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine tuned to produce 74bhp and 110Nm. The diesel mill will have a four-cylinder configuration with 1.5-litre displacement producing 89bhp and 230Nm of torque.The transmission will be mated to the front wheel via the five-speed manual gearbox.

PRICE
The starting price is expected to be around Rs 6 lakh, while the top-end diesel manual should cost roughly around Rs 8.25 lakh.

Volkswagen Beetle has  launched the new Beetle in India this year. 

EXTERIOR

The Beetle retains its iconic form with curvy lines and circular large headlamps though the looks are now more aggressive with flared wheel arches and muscular form. At the front, headlamps get projector units and LED DRLs, the bumper is simple with stretched rectangular air dam with fog lamps and turn blinkers on the side.

The typical bug-shaped profile is visible from the side with the sloping roof line. The rear of the car is simple with the small opening hatch and rectangular tail lamps. Volkswagen India is offering an extra chrome package which adds some glitter to both the exterior and the interior of the car.

INTERIOR

The version comes to India has all the important features like the touch-screen system with navigation, leather upholstery, auto-dimming mirrors, push button start, panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting. The safety net includes six airbags and ABS-EBD.

ENGINE

Volkswagen  offerS  the car in only a petrol variant powered by the 1.4-litre TSI motor making 148bhp and 250Nm. The hatchback will use the seven-speed DSG gearbox to power the front wheels.

SHADES

Beetle will be available in four colours – habanero orange, oryx white, tornado red, blue silk.

PRICE
Beetle's price is set on 27-30 lakh.

EXTERIOR

It measure 4,485mm in length,  1,633mm in height1,839mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,682 mm.THE new vehicle is larger than going models in size (70mm longer, 30.5mm wider and 76mm longer in wheelbase). Up front are a pair of angular LED headlamps with LED DRLs directly flowing into the grille and chrome elements on the front wing.

The car ride on large 18-inch diamond cut alloy rims and  also gets a chrome line that runs across the side. There is also a chrome underlining for the window line and roof rails.At the back, a pair of new LED tail lamps are visible.

INTERIOR

The car's layout has a premium design with new leather and other materials.It globally offer an optional 12.3-inch Active information display which displays the instrument dial and navigation in full screen.

It also features a new three-zone automatic climate control system called Pure Air Climatronic. The other highlights in the Tiguan include a large panoramic sunroof and electric four-way lumbar support and massage function for the front seats. On the safety front, even in the base variant, VW is expected to offer safety features like the Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring and Lane Assist departure warning system. There are in all, seven airbags, including a knee airbag on the driver’s side.

ENGINE & GEARBOX

we can expect the Tiguan to be powered by a choice of 1.4- and 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine options and on the diesel front, the 1.6- and 2.0-litre TDI diesel units. The transmission options might include the seven-speed DSG unit or maybe even the new 10-speed DSG gearbox.

PRICE

It will in the Rs 28 lakh to Rs 38 lakh price segment in our country.
