JAGUAR XJ L
The XJ L is the flagship sedan from the Tata-owned British marque - Jaguar. The luxury sedan was launched in India in 2012, three years after its global debut and has received regular upgrades with the new model year.
EXTERIOR
The Daytime Running Lamps embedded in the new intelligent LED headlamps. The car's fascia has a wide and bold profile with deep set grille which gets the Jaguar emblem. This is surrounded by Intelligent High Beam Xenon headlamp. The tail lamps are LED lamp designed to flow with the lines of the boot down the rear wings.
INTERIOR
There is sufficient space inside for five individuals and the panoramic glass roof.The 12.3-inch high-definition glass screen set behind the steering wheel gives a Virtual Instrument display. Controls for the audio system, telephone, climate control are present at a single finger touch.
It comes with an automatic four-zone climate control and a cruise control with Automatic Speed Limiter (ASL) and with a three-spoke leather steering column.
Other highlights are the Jaguar Smart Key System with keyless entry and start, door puddle lamps, rain sensing windscreen wipers and heated windscreen with rear window.
The Jaguar XJL is packed with safety features like curtain side airbags, anti-whiplash technology and seatbelt reminder for front, rear seat. There are other features that enhance the safety quotient of this car such as Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with TRAC DSC mode and Electric Parking Brake (EPB).
ENGINE & GEARBOX
The Jaguar XJL is available in two petrol engine variants and one diesel engine variant. The diesel fuell 3.0-litre V6 engine generates 296bhp of power and 700Nm of torque while the 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four cylinder petrol engine churns out 237bhp of power and 340Nm of torque.
There is a supercharged version also with the 5.0-litre petrol V8 mill that churns out 470bhp of power and 642Nm of torque.
In all the variants, the engine is mated to an automatic transmission.
The Jaguar XJL can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph within a span of 4.9 to 6.4 seconds. The top-speed of XJ is limited to 250kmh.
